MacBook Air or Pro?

Looking to buy a new Apple laptop? The biggest dilemma one faces in this situation is to choose between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Well, it's all about what you want to use it for! Let's take a look at the differences between both products.

The Macbook Air

The MacBook Air is a cheaper option, being priced at around $1000. The 2020 model has a 1.6GHz 8th-gen Intel Core i5 and a RAM of up to 16GB. It weighs 2.75 lbs (1.2 kgs) and has a battery life of 13 hours video playback.

If you're a student or employee that will use their laptop to type in essays, reports, work on sheets, create presentations and slides, or just take digital notes, then the MacBook Air is more than enough to satisfy your needs! Its light weight makes it easy to carry around in your bag and its slick design will make you love using it! This is why the average student might opt for the MacBook Air since it's cheaper and does the job. 

The MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro is a more expensive option, with the 13-inch being priced at around $1300 and the 16-inch being priced at around $2400. The 2020 13-inch model has a 1.4GHz 8th-gen Intel Core i5 and a RAM of up to 16GB. It weighs 3.02 lbs (1.3 kgs) and has a battery life of 10 hours video playback. This model also comes with a touch bar. 

If you're a design, architecture, engineering, or audiovisual student or worker, you might lean towards the MacBook Pro as it supports heavier design softwares and programs. Even if you're into video editing for your own personal pleasure, you will definitely enjoy the Pro model as it caters your creative and technical needs. 

For me...

I personally use the 2020 MacBook Air in Rose Gold. As an Education student, I use my laptop for typing essays and do presentations, so I've really enjoyed the Air model as it provides me with what I need. Since I also have an iPhone, I can easily sync my devices for optimal use!
