The MacBook Air is a good laptop that satisfies your technological needs. However, nothing is perfect! Here are some cons the MacBook Air has that you might consider before investing in one.
1. The Price
MacBooks are on the more expensive end of laptops, priced at a minimum of $1000. If you're a student or person on a budget, a MacBook might not be the ideal option for you
2. Regular Screen
Newer laptops now have touch screens, however, even the latest MacBooks have a regular screen which might be a disadvantage to design students and users that enjoy this modern feature.
3. USB-C ports
As mentioned in my previous post, the new MacBook Air only has USB-C ports, while many USB keys are type A. This model will have you buying an adapter at an extra charge to use regular USBs and other peripheral devices.
4. Not suitable for gaming
If you're into gaming, you should stay away from the MacBook Air as it is slow and can't process them well. Definitely look into gaming laptops if this is your need.
5. Difficult to update its hardware
Hardware upgradeability is restricted in the latest MacBook Air. The cpu and memory elements are inserted inside a single circuit. There is an opportunity for customization prior to buying, but later, there is no place for changes to storage, CPU and memory.
